Title: Finally!! Got my Ballistic 4.0 pants.
Post by: Dragonfly on December 09, 2003, 04:45:39 PM
My mom bought me my riding pants early for christmas. (I dont still live at home). I have been riding daily to work and back, with temps. in the low 40's and rainy. I have had to wear 2 snowboarding layers, a heavy pair of jeans, and a pair of Military issue gortex rain pants.

It works really well but I have to roll up my jeans and let my boots get soaked, because the rain pantsa are about 6" to short when in the saddle.

But now!!
The pants are thick and heavy, zip into my jactet, and go down all the way to my ankels with a little room to spair.
I am still wearing the layers minus the jeans. With an REI fleece under my jacket and the hard drive gloves I just bought, dont feel a bit of the cold.

Cant wait till spring so  I can shed all the layers.

Good for you! Does the 4.0's have any armour? I already have a pair of Fieldsheer Astropants, but I'm just curious.

Yea there is armor in the knees, and the lower back. With the back armour in my jacket the 2 pieces make almost a full back piece.
