You are on the GSR too, right?
I've seen that bike somewhere before.......either way, it's top notch work. Congrats!
That's cool Did you have to fabricate new motor mounts? I have a 79 GS 425 also.
450's and 425's are ideally suited for flat tracking ...
Or cafeing, there is a 1000 of em.
Cool.
Buddha.
I like it nice, simple and clean. :thumb:
Hi all, thanks for the nice comments, The motor drops straight in to the frame using original mounting plates although i replaced mine with stainless steel ones but are exact copy of standard ones, The main problem with the 500 is that the exhaust ports exit smack bang in line with the frame down tubes, so i had to cut my header pipes to suit quite tricky but it is achievable if you have some fabrication skills, Also the drive sprocket spacer is a different length so i had to make a spacer to step the rear sprocket out, to bring them both in line. apart from that its a straight swap . Thanks Nige.

That is great info. The only thing I would miss if I want to do this swap is my kick start.
