I've been teaching my 16 year old son how to ride.
I've taken him out 4 or 5 times in the evening after work over the last two weeks and he has been learning very quickly. Yesterday (Saturday), I took him on some of my favorite back roads. We rode 300 miles on mostly back twisty roads and had a terrific time.
I'm amazed at how fast he has learned. He has been listening to the instruction I've given him and he has taken to riding like a duck to water.
The GS has been an awesome bike. It has become my day to day commuter and it handles like a champ on the back roads. My son dragged the toe of his boot in one of the curves yesterday.
I wish my 919 flicked in to the turns as well as the GS.

Great to hear!
I'm impressed with that distance too. Did you say 300 miles?
I have a 16 yr old daughter that loves to ride (dirt only), and a 19 yr old son that has been riding dirt & street since he can walk.
Your GS500 is certainly the right tool for the job. :thumb:
Glad to hear the training is going well.
Post some pics too!
