Here it is the GS500 Odometer game:
Game is easy as riding a bike (ha ha ha). No challanges really just post up different odometer combos that come up such as all 1's, 2's, 3's etc. Then there is 123456 etc, and I'll accepted tens of thousands like 10000, 20000, 30000 etc. Pretty much things like that. Don't just post random shots of your speedo its gotta be a pattern or something like that. When you post up a pic I'll populate a list of completed combinations. Only combinations taken from today will be accepted. I would love to see the combo of 696969 put up lol. Have fun with it guys, and girls.
Might as well claim it here too...
Earlier today
(http://im1.shutterfly.com/media/47a2db24b3127ccef05f834fa5e100000030O00AbuGTRi5cOWQPbz4Q/cC/f%3D0/ps%3D50/r%3D0/rx%3D720/ry%3D480/)
my speedo tells me my speed...
now my odo on the other hand....
Whoops my bad lol
I've just ticked over 40,700. So the next combos i can get are... 41,414, 43,210, 44,444? Spose id better get riding..
By George his got it. Sweet
All the ones...

Yes, that is the GS500 Around Australia Relay baton :)
Well, why didn't you think to start this thread when I broke 17k a week ago? No big deal I guess, I think I can manage 18k in another week or two... Or maybe 17500 counts? It's sort of a round number...
Only from today?
I think not. I'll be throwing up my all the threes, fours, etc. And you cannot stop me Bwahahahahahahaaaaaa. :icon_mrgreen:
(Well, as soon as my incompetent IP actually turns on my broadband cause I cannot do squat with dialup - not in any reasonable amount of time.
Michael
I enjoy the hell out of this haha. No good shots, usually in the back woods. I did click over my durango on my home ski mountain
Just missed 2,222.2 miles on my drz.. was having too much fun on the ride and pulled in the driveway just as it click over 2,223. Once the gs project with ~130 miles is done i'll be getting almost everyone!
I just missed...22,222.2!

I missed the 6 on the tenths because it would have been a dangerous place to stop. Just think of it as rounding up :).

I think you missed the point..
Your next one would be 18181.8 and possibly even 181.8 on the tripmeter.
You could do an interesting number sequence:
1 7 6 2 3 5 . 4
or
17711.7
17532.? --- all prime digits
Is 17523 a prime number?
See now you guys get it I'll have to put an explaination beside them so ppl know
i just missed 8888.8
Okay, okay, I got it :thumb:, I guess I just suck at thinking of "interesting" numbers that aren't just round numbers .

Not the most convenient place to pull over in the dark, but I got it! (Ignore the trip meter.)
Tomorrow I will pass 37777.3 and will almost hit 37887.3 ... but will I be paying attention? :dunno_black:
PS - My original odometer read 6420.x when I hit the cow. I thought about coming up with numbers that would be interesting as a total of the two ... but that makes my head spin a little. (http://bbburma.net/Smilies/headscratch.gif)
I forgot about palindromes. Love me some palindromes.

Nice one Mister M. Hey where did you get the clock and thermometer?
I got them from Clocks For Bikes. Here is their website and ebay shop http://www.clocks4bikes.com and http://myworld.ebay.com/ebaymotors/clocks4bikes/
They sell them for cheaper on their ebay shop. I got the ones without lights but you can get ones that light up the face for a moment when you push the button. And you can get one for your center bolt if you have clipons.
They are good people to deal with. I also got a set for my 919.

technically 10000.05 - so could be either 100000 or 100001, I'll happily concede either or both to anyone with a cleaner pic, just megamiffed that not poss to stop for the 9's as well (end of shift, twilight, raining, unsafe place, wrong camera setting  ):

I wanted to play yesterday but I missed my opportunity. At a light I realized I was at 12332.05, but due to traffic I missed my chance to post the 12332.1 radar. Oh well, it seems that there are a few people that are in the 10 - 12,000 range. Hopefully they'll be able to pick it up.

Well I didn't get a picture, but I wanted to at least commemorate the occasion with a post that my GS500 hit 56,789 miles. Its' the last consecutive series of numbers you can get on the odometer unless you count the tenths place which could get you 67,891.0
It felt good to put those miles on because 2 months after my last post in this topic of hitting the 55,555 my bike died on the freeway when the cam chain tensioner fell out, the bike jumped timing, and lots of top end parts got nuked. It took me 10 months but I finally got the bike back on the road and I'm putting miles on it again!
