Title: New owner in Central NJ
Post by: momoboy on May 09, 2012, 06:34:53 AM
Hello, I have actually owned the bike since late last year but finally got around to posting here!  I bought it right after I took the MSF course.  I have a 2007 GS500F and this board has been amazingly helpful!  As a result of what I learned on this board I have done the following:

Added frame sliders
Rejetted
Added a lunchbox filter and Yoshi slip-on exhaust
Bled my brakes
Added bar risers
Added the R6 rear shock

I am in the process of upgrading my horn as well.  The drivers here in NJ are way too distracted!  If anyone is in the central NJ area and wants to go for a ride or wrench on a bike let me know.

Mark

Thanks for the comment.  The tail back is from AXIO.  The blue is a real close match to the paint on the bike.  I mounted it in such a way as you can't see the straps and it comes off with the seat.  There is no way for someone now to cut the strap or unhook it.  You would have to take the whole seat to remove the bag :)  It's not a big bag but holds more than you would expect and being it is a hard case looks really "factory"

Around here, you're going to need to post pics to back up claims like that.  :icon_razz:

pretty clever idea to lock it with the seat.  ill have to check out that company, would be neat if they had a bigger one to fit my helmet

Okay, here is a close up shot.  For someone to steal the tail bag they would have to do a lot of cutting!
