Post by: adam89 on May 16, 2012, 12:05:37 PM
Ok so im new to the whole streetfighter community and i picked up a 92 gs500 that ran good until the balancer bearing decided to kill itself...i currently have the parts on order and have the case split...ill post pics later but im trying to cut down the tail and im wondering how everyone hid there electronics...if you could give me ideas on what u did to the rear end that would be real helpful, thanks everyone!!!

your best bet is to get in there and check it out. There isn't much back there to be honest

What you'll probably end up doing is getting a battery that is physically smaller (LiFeO4), shortening your harness, and tucking it underneath the tank or into a tail section if you choose to run one. Every fighter is different and will require innovative ideas and work; it isn't a 'how-to' process. Check out customfighters for some ideas; there are a few GS500s there.

Hi there I have recently done this.with my bike , the only electric I have running up the.back ar :cheers:e the tail light and indicator wires , ill post some pics up tonight after I'm home from work .

I've managed to get all mine around the battery box I put my reg/rec under my seat on my custom under trayi put my relays on the side of the airbox its a bit tight but everything works even with the normal battery and standard air box .

I'll post a pic up tonight unless I can do it from my mobile.
