Title: idle mixture screws vs idle speed screw?
Post by: Vo0Do0 on May 20, 2012, 06:26:25 AM
Ok so in fear of being booted out of these forums for to many carb questions, I need to ask:

What is the difference in turning the 2 idle mixture screws or the idle speed screw thingy. Difference in terms of what it actually does, the effect at idle of both actions, and the performance/effect while riding of both..... I tried searching forums and google but couldn't find a good answer.

•Idle Speed Screw: Mechanically raises or lowers the butterfly's in the carbs to alter the Rpm at an idle
•Idle Mixture Screw: Adjusts the Fuel/Air mixture at an idle, CCW or out, adds fuel the the mixture
