Title: Regulator/Rectifier Attach Screws
Post by: wadamw on May 20, 2012, 09:22:51 PM
I'm trying to find out what size bolts I would need to replace the factory screws that attach the regulator/rectifier to the frame of my 2004 GS500F. When I bought the bike, the previous owner had apparently removed them and left the regulator hanging from the wire, supported by the side plastics.

The Suzuki P/N is 02162-0620C, and I've found them on a few bike related sites, but I was wondering if anyone here could point me to a size bolt/screw I could source at a local hardware store to save on shipping and time.

Thanks in advance!

Almost every bolt that attached something to the bike is M6 1.0mm pitch. I recently replaced all the rusty bolts and screws on my bike with stainless socket drive bolts. The only ones not that size were the heavy stuff like the gas tank bracket, headlight, rearsets and grab bar (M8) or headlight bezel and clutch adjustment cover on the engine cover (M5).

Well, I'll go pick some of those up tomorrow morning and see if they work. Thanks!

*EDIT: Stopped by ACE on my way home from work and got some M6x1.00x20 bolts that worked perfectly.
