motoharo shall be roadworthy in a week tops. step one take motoharo
(http://i519.photobucket.com/albums/u360/gstwin/Mobile%20Uploads/motoharo.jpg)please excuse the craptastic photo, but been moving around since 9am today. and painfully exhausted. anyhoo back to motoharo, you will see ( barely by the kickstand is the 66cc engine which mounts on the frame. tomorrow the drive gear gets drilled and mounted, then monday, the engine and tank get mounted after engine conversion to plate mount versus bolt mount. due to oval shape of tube. will be converting engine beforehand so its ready. cause i have MAYBE 1 day off per week. ( yet am broke lol. ) but really the hardest part will be adjusting the #40 chain to fit. i have my punch set ready at shop. will get everything else properly secured before i do this. ( tank fueled line ran to carb, clutch installed killswitch wired in as well, each stage will be updated by BETTER pictures than this one. but i promised a good friend here a build thread, said id start tonight. ( will be last night time shot btw) final picture will be a video. of the testride. stay tuned to my lunacy developing :)
Aaron since rear gear was flucked up. got a new gear, rubber bushings and plates, along with a chain. so there will be NO fault in this one.
here is the first video of it. a walkaround. engine installed. the gear on rear wheel will be replaced when neqw one arrives
Hell with it, i was bored. so went ahead and mounted the engine. just have to drill a hole in the lower plate so i can bolt into the waterbottle anchor

thanks to this jackash http://www.facebook.com/anna.jarusan#!/profile.php?id=100003495229137&sk=wall motoharo is coming to life. and hopefully GOD give me strength, that i dont kill him. i could at least flatten his tires. i know hte guards rounds, so i could get away with it. EASILY
engine tank and exhaust mounted early. dropped off at car lot. til tuesday, ( so i can make use of their drill press

Cool. You'll soon be on wheels again.
looking forward to it; mainly because riding what used to weigh 23lbs give or take, now approaching 50 W/O fuel added. the final pic. wont be a pic, wlil be on low res video. ( one day when funds allow will pick up a decent camera lol
Looking Good Yama.
only things left to do is: 1 install controls, run cable to clutch, wires to ignition source. and run fuel line to carb. and run throttle to carb as well

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bpoQMXQGZpU been dealing with local diabetes charity event over weekend in too much pain to do much else. have to get my hands on another masterlink for the #40 chain. it got misplaced :technical: but theyre cheap so will get one andupdate as soon as i can do so. i promise
Hang in there. Don't give up.
I appreciate you keeping all of us up to date. :thumb:
i refuse to give up. ( walking sucks lol) should have a chain connected tomorrow. if all goes well, perhaps even a road test. but at least a connected chain.
edit: should have a chain connected properly. as in usable. misplacing what seems like minor parts like say master links lol, turns a 5 minute job into 5 hours it seems lol
More pictures! Please!
tuesday evening will have some up. well, by 9pm est
update will be goin for road test perhaps tomorrow night. finishing final assy. was going to do it tonight. but ran out of energy. may do it anyways. but in this picture i removed front fender so tire would clear exhaust, hooked up brake and moved tank forward. and mounted clutch lever. only things left to do is mount throttle grip and kill switch and coil.

Are those my parts I see there. Nice to see what I actually paid for. :icon_lol:
indeed they are. well not using the chain, i ended up grabbing a 40 chain. however the sprocket is indeed the one. now to teh update there were 2.5 survivors 1 the bike, 2 me and .5 the engine. front engine mount let go pulling the engine up and to hte left ( chain side ) reason i say the mount versus a chain lockup is because both sides of chain, ( top and bottom) survived. now to tthe mount. there is about 2mm give or take .5 on either side of hole i can either tap or helicoil that hole and we'll be good ( and realigh chain setup etc. ) not really willing to lay blame on the engine though. it is perhaps my fault? because i changed bolts last night ( final assy.) one in pic on front facing camera was packed full of metal. this has happened before and i rode for miles like this. so i changed bolts tightened it ( using final 3-4 threads) and test rode this morning. it passed. so i came back, loaded up and rode to work. successful. fast forward to evening>>>> i didnt look down and see if that bolt had let go or not. i ended up with a chain lockup after engine jumped off front frame. but am thinking front bolt let go, engine jumps off frame and causes lockup of chain. i carry it 400ft and call for ride lol. also pulled off fuel line. i shut off fuel. sorry no fire tonight lol. damn felt good to ride again. repair plans are either tap engine. or helicoil, OR since not much chinese metal to work with, may use remaining two threads, and other side good one, and a 6" hose clamp for backup ( around tube and engine) will try ang get a good macro of damaged mount tomorrow and will update if net is still running. normally id be  :technical: ( was for 5 mins lol. ) but realised, ehh shaZam! happens. my fault perhaps so packit up and move forward. she will ride again soon
What a Bummer. You are not having much luck are you yama.
Use some threadlock on the bolts to keep them in place.
(http://sword-masters.com/catalog/images/threadlocker.jpg) (http://www.rap4.com/store/paintball/images/Loctite_Threadlocker_Red.jpg)
aye. am looking at that. but hole has been dethreaded. i guess engine cases made out of recycled car parts sometimes let go. hole is usable but 2mm of case on inside and 2mm on outside 20+mm top and bottom either tap it, or helicoil it, or ( looks like 2 threads left. ) use those a good bolt, some red locktite, and a 6" rad hose clamp. ( screw type) so no matter what, that shaZam! wont come apart again, UNTIL i decide it does
Quote from: yamahonkawazuki on June 13, 2012, 11:07:14 PM

Definitley sounds like the best plan :thumb:
well no matter which method used, the aforementioned hose clamp will be employed. the ones we get around here do NOT break easily.
any thoughts in using jb weld , if tapping or a helicoil cannot be used?, and also use said hose clamp?

:thumb:
heres a pic of the mount. sans threads. thinking pack some jb weld inside the hole, then smear it on the bolt. and use the last two threads on case. ive got one chance to repair this. if it fails again, odds are it will destroy it. im surprised i got away wiht really no damage.
in this pic, ive got 2mm to inside, and 2mm to outside. 20mm roughly top and bottom. idk how much of the 2mm i can give up. really maybe more. its less than a quarter inch.
LMFAO ohhh the irony. just noticed the prominent "made in china" on the bike. the bike is built like a tank. the engine idk if aluminum. or some type of chinese potmetal. definately not cast irony LOL
Id def put JB weld in there and on the bolt just for kicks. But just remember it will never come out again :thumb:

this is true. i do have the studs that were removed though. so that is no big deal. the hose clamp is a must have methinks. cause that chain is strong as hell. id like to have a backup. aka failsafe on this. cause the thing is NOT fun to carry
http://www.bicycle-engines.com/rear-kick-stand-bikes-p-308.html
going to try and grab one of these soon. or make one. make starts easier. ( raise on stand and pedal. ) but first things first is to fix it and make sure it remains fixed. i will beat the chinese at theor own self invented game. aka afro-ingenuity
any thoughts on drilling out case or tapping?, is there enough there to do this or no?
For that I have no idea. I never opened the box for the motor before I shipped it.

no worries on that my friend. it was fine when you shipped it. ( studs were inserted) i think the bolt threads let go during final assy. on the huffy. this is after it had run on the haro. so it had let go/weakened at or during this point. or i messed it up. ( which is within the realm of possibility
did some conversion/figuring. for helicoil. seems the head size of bolts is 10mm. If i am reading right avail. helicoils ar either 4mm ( too small) or 6mm not enough case for this one. i think its 5.5mm. hell if i am right 6mm may work. giving i have roughly 2mm on either side. allowing .7 or so usage and giving mew some wall strength. and some jb weld and strap. and this thing will live on longer than me

6am now its bed time :/ found a 6mm helicoil.
going to measue the width. and see if i have enough room to drill this. conversion tells me 5.5 roughly 4 would be too small. ( next size below 6mm)
interesting read on assy. and in english too lol
http://bikemotorkit.com/Installation-Guide-and-Help taking my time with this one to make sure i do it right :thumb: will be a 4 beer job give or take

found an almost free electric start backpack blower. woulda been sweet if it had the nads to pull the bike. but this 66cc has it beat hands and feet down lol. besides im lazy enough. i dont need any excuses :cookoo: :icon_lol: :icon_lol: :icon_lol:
Alright. due to the theft of my goped almost 2mos ago. has thrown my finances into a tizzy. ( as if they werent already there. so this will probably be the last night my internet will be active, for a couple weeks or so. ( had to buy another bicycle. /2 when i had a chain lockup on the engine lol. anyhoo. there are those that want to see this through to completion. i WILL honor that request/desire. it is proper/fair that i do so. :thumb:. but will have to do so from an alternate net source. ( work perhaps. ) and buddha. still working on the watches for you. the patek has a broken spring. looking for one that will fit it. without major charge. as well as the clips for the ferrari watch. will update that as well via pm
lady friend of mine who was hit in head by her tow truck boom, has finally gotten back to work. or is trying to do so. i forbid this. as does her fiance etc. so am taking on job number 3. she has this chinese 150cc scooter. with 4.5 miles on it. never registered. i offered to work on lot for it, she refuses free labour. i refuse to take her money. so this may be a happy compromise for the both of us. i can convert this sit down scooter to a stand up and bypass the moped licensing. and keep paperwork for future licensure. i dont have to use full power. lower floorboards, to make standup. remove body panels, and trunk. and will keep this as a spare to motohuffy. btw going to tap it to 6mm coarse thread. ( case is aluminum) this will take care of that. and lot has a tap set i can use. so am onlyout cost of bolt
Cool :thumb:

engine seller is sending me 4 mounting studs free. and i ordered a pullstart, so i gotta come up with 23.30 , but i also have to let my left to heal. i did some significant damage to it. ( trimming toenail. almsot pulling it off. ) looks like gangrene trying to set it. docs have me on antibiotics like a mug, and strict orders to stay off feet. but cannot follow orders. i have to work. ive got bills to pay. i just do what i can and sit often lolol. anyhoo wlil get her done soon and get decent quality vid of a successful run. going to stand run it first. if it passes that, then ill take her out
