So on the way home yesterday I stopped at a dealer and this one caught my eye, well rather the salesman turned me away from the Daytona 675 I was drooling over :icon_lol: The Street is definitely more practical. A pretty nice bike even though the head lights need some getting used to. It may be my next bike....... Anyone has experience with this? I was checking out the 2012.
No experience, but I've lost plenty of drool looking at them.
Twisted had a ride of one on a demo day a couple weeks back and loved it, in his words it was the first bike that made him smile as much as he smiles on his 1000 monster. I wanna try one to and see if it's a candidate for my next whip, not that I'm in arush to upgrade I'm still very wary
Never ridden a street triple, but I had a Triumph Speed Four years ago. As far as naked triumphs go, it was an awesome bike. I definitely enjoyed it more than I would've liked it's fully faired counterpart. You won't find a better naked 600, as far as I'm concerned, Triumph is literally the only company who actually put the effort into making a nice naked 600. Everyone else just builds them out of old recycled engines and some cheap parts, but Triumph makes them just as nice as any 600cc sportbike, just without the plastic. It's the only bike I'd consider if that was the class I was shopping in.
The Striple is a great bike to ride. There is nothing difficult about it. You just get on and ride. It has character too unlike a lot of the Japanese bikes. I highly recommend a test ride on one if you are in the market for a bike. I did not want to give mine back. It is a very similar bike to ride like my Ducati Monster.
Thanks for the input guys (and helping drain my bank account!). Im heading back to the dealer today to see what I can work out? Anyone want another GS ;)
I am also seriously thinking about buying on. Either that or a Ducati Monster. I haven't driven either yet but the Monster did feel better sitting on. Almost everything I've heard from people that have driven the triple have been positive.

Pssshh... you already have a "practical" bike: your GS500.
Get the daytona! :thumb:
