Title: Myrtle Beach Area Rider
Post by: Myrtle Beach on June 12, 2012, 06:03:02 PM
I am new to this forum so I thought I would introduce myself. I just sold my 1988 katana 1100. It was a good bike, lots of power. Then I picked up a 2004 GS500f. It might not be as fast but I love it. It handles great, nice and light, looks really sharp and goes plenty fast. No one needs to go 170mph unless your at a track. I am new to the Myrtle Beach area so I was looking for some new riding partners. Lots of great advice here. I enjoyed the article on the "pace"

welcome aboard  :thumb: theres always the idea of going down one or two teeth in front sprocket if you want more acceleration. ive ridden faster bikes myself. but keep coming back to the gs. ( had 4. one of them twice lol)

I'm not too worried about going any faster. I put a stage 1 jet kit in it with a Jardine rt-one exhaust. Sounds good and a little more power. One of the smallest(cc) bikes I have owned but it may be my favorite.
