Title: irritation of parts diagrams - lost in the pictures
Post by: Phil B on June 17, 2012, 08:16:29 PM
It's slightly irritating, when parts diagrams such as
http://www.suzukipartshouse.com/suzuki-parts.aspx?aribrand=SUZ#/Suzuki/GS500E_(2000)/FRONT_WHEEL/07020004/5607020045

show the left/right order of pieces.. but dont specify whether a spacer, goes on the outside, or inside, of the fork :(

(specifically, I'm wondering about #6)

I have a haynes manual but I dont see the answer there either. :(
It seems to mention the washer/spacer that goes INSIDE the fork space, but not this thing. Or maybe i'm misreading it somehow.

That goes through the fork on the outside of the other spacer. They sit side by side on the bolt.

#6 is in the bottom of the right fork. It was already there when I sent you the fork. The bolt goes through it.

ohhh.. I thought I had put it aside like it was needed. but I gues you'er saying it fell out of my old fork, and I didnt realize it was not needed with the new one. too tired to check. thanks for the heads up on that.
