Title: Bird made a nest in helmet
Post by: jestercinti on June 21, 2012, 11:24:33 AM
Wish I had pictures.  This morning, I put on my helmet in the garage only to have leaves and moss dumped on my head.  I last used it 15 hours prior.  A bird was busy last night.  That's the last time I leave the garage door open, that's for sure!

Has this only happened to me?   :cookoo:

You leave your helmet upside down?  :nono:

Bike in garage, helmet inside is how I roll.  :thumb:

No turd that I could see.  It's a new HJC CL16 helmet too  :o.  I now have my helmet securely located in the jester estate.

i have a tortoise shell helmet ive used on my hd, and now with the motorised bikes, this had happened. complete with eggs. i left it alone and used a spare hjc i owned , until premises were vacated. from that point on, the lids came inside

I like my hjc cl16. I upgraded from an old hjc cl12.

I like the pinlock system and locking visor. Mine is flat black in color and has about 7000 or so miles logged. A bit loud on long trips, so I need earplugs, but I think that most helmets are like that.

yup. even if not. cheap foam earplugs goes well in a kit on bike. just in case

I too just purchased an HJC CL16 and think it is great. I switched from modular because of noise. It is much quieter but I still wear earplugs on extended rides.

nice choice. my backup is a cl16. i did carry foam earplugs ( 3 sets) in toolbox or backpack. sometimes even though quiet id get a headache over noise. if i need em, i got em. if not then no biggie. foam earplugs are cheap. usually free lol  ( if you know someone who works in a factory. have them grab a couple extra pair ;)

This is why I just sleep in my helmet. Nothing gets in and I'm ready to ride in the morning.
