Title: Quick question
Post by: iclrag on June 22, 2012, 12:13:49 PM
i meant to post this in the tard-farm, but apparently it has to be moved there (feel free)

does the term "squid" only apply to street bikes? (the wiki article has been removed, but i did find it quoted on a thread on here)

for instance, one of the places i used to ride my old dirt bike with my dad neither of us wore a helmet or chest gaurd (i did own one for track use though), just riding pants and a tank-top, would that classify me as a squid? (as i side note, i would never ride on the road without a helmet)

actually i take that back, i don't wear a helmet on the little 50cc mopeds unless required by law, but those only go 25-30 MPH

I'm pretty sure that squid implies a person who doesn't know what their doing (clothes or otherwise), is trying to show off or look cool, all while riding an overpowered bike that will kill them with a flick of the wrist.

I'd think you could apply that to dirt bikes but I'm a new guy.

Squid is a new rider who thinks he is Valentino and stoner in one and doesn't take advice and if he/she keeps it up will wind up like siminchelli.
