Title: Carb leaking fuel! What the?
Post by: Dache on June 28, 2012, 03:48:24 PM
So I have two issues. Just changed the oil (re-jetted the carb prior)

Turn fuel pet chicken on and she starts leaking without even turning the bike on (carb overflow). Any ideas? Leaking A LOT, as if it's siphoning!

Also the throttle is a bit sticky as well

A float valve is stuck open.  Whack it (gently) with the handle of a screwdriver.  It might get the float to move. If that doesn't work you'll have to take the bowls off and find out what the problem is. Is the petcock on "pri"? or "on"?  If it is "on" and this is happening, you have another problem.

Sticky throttle... Lube the cable maybe.  Check cable routing.  Sticky throttle linkages maybe.

+1 for sticking floats, or bad needle jets
