Hey GS Forums!
havent had a problem for a while up until now. So let me give you the run down of what happened this time.
>>Left bike on for 4 days straight in the garage (didnt need to go anywhere)
>>I checked bike, found it on, turned it to off, connected it to 1.5 amp charger.
>>battery charger has auto shut off feature when battery fully charged so leave for 2 days straight (forgot about it)
>>Come back, take off charger, get ready to ride off to work!
>>lights and indicators are on everything looks good! nuetral is on, prepare to warm up engine.
>>pull the clutch, hit the ignition switch
>>Greeted by an unwelcome, unheard of sound. sounds like a rapid BURR (imagine your phone on vibrate on a wooden desk but a tad bit more high pitched)
>>Friend comes over with 5-15-100 amp charger/jolt starter (or something like that)
>>Bike doesn't turn over unless we have it hooked up to 100 amp setting
>>Let it run with it to make sure circuit is good and battery is charging by itself
>>After 10 minutes of letting it run, turn off bike.
>>Try to start it up without jolt starter, no good. still greeted by ERRRR sound.
>>Friend says battery may be sulferized??? (something like that) may need new battery.
What does GS Forum think the problem may be?
Sound is originated from the fuse box area, but fuses are good so I dont know what is going on.
Any help?

Yes - battery is toast. I know that same clicking sound in a car with a low battery on a cold day. Same thing.
Starter relay gets pulled in. Power goes to starter motor and uses all power so not enough power for starter relay so it opens up again. Now that the starter motor is not powered, there is power for the starter relay. So it closes again and the process repeats. Result: that clicking sound of the starter relay opening and closing rapidly.
Thank you AdidasGuy! I'll be sure to go find me a new battery. thanks for the help!
