I bought this bike two years a go and on that fateful day I got into a little accident. To cut fairing replacement costs I decided to go naked :p

After a little work..including swapping the headlight, guage and rear fairing to black I want to improve it even more.

I also had to cut my pipe since the accident punctured a hole on the top half of the pipe.
Now my dilemma is what I should do next. If anyone has any opinions I would gladly take em.
This is the image I'm looking for

Does anyone know if its difficult to paint the engine casings and the rims?
The last thing is that I feel that my bike currently looks too messy. I want to purchase a windscreen so I can hide all that nasty wiring.
I have heard painting the rims is not hard. Just take off the wheels and clean everything, shine the tires with the "gel tire wet" stuff and then shove some index cards between the tires and the rims and paint. Use primer, color, clear coat following coating instructions on the paint. Any over-spray that gets on the wheel should come off easily with the tire wet on there.
Warning: I have never tried this but it was the suggested to me by an Audi technician who did it to his car and said it worked. You may want to get a second opinion on this.
Painting the engine will be a more daunting task. I think you should leave it as a black frame with a metallic engine. Just keep the engine clean of oil and road gunk and it will look nice.
Isn't putting tire dressing of any kind on a motorcycle tire a bad idea? I would be very careful to wipe down and then take some emory paper to the tire afterwards.
I have checked a few other sources and all say that painting the engine can be quite difficult...Therefore I decided to keep the engine as is...however I feel that the blue tank does not fit in.....I need a colour recommendation for my tank. I want to keep the front fender and rear fairing black. I'm thinking Red or Yellow for the tank?
