ok so i want to lower my handle bars on my 2008 gs500f but don't know how can anyone tell me because when i do over a 100 and i am sitting up stright the wind is just hitting everywhere and when i lean in to my tank after a while it gets uncomfortable. but i love riding it.
Drop the forks through the yoke , undo the two Alan key bolts at either side and try push the forks down or do what I do and hit it with a leather hammer
Actually, that won't stop the wind blast at 100 MPH. Clip ons, clubmans, etc will drop your body below the wind screen. Every type of handle bar has a trade off though.......
And let me be the first to say: the absolute best way to not get blasted with 100 MPH winds is.......wait for it.........DON'T GO 100 MPH. That's not usually the kind of accident you walk away from........

(applause)
Also notable is that if a rider is moving at 80mph directly into a 20mph headwind, the net effect is 100mph winds...
Hi i have a set of clip ons off a gsxf i think the orignal diamiter was to big for the gs fork so i made up a shim to take up the play and cut a slot in the clip on and drilled and tapped a pinch bolt they are solid as a rock and really low! They cost me all of nothing as they was being scrapped anyway so if you look around you can do these things on the cheap if not for free

need pic!
1. Measure diameter of forks.
2. Take measurement and proceed to your local motorcycle parts establishment or fav online vendor.
3. Order clip ons of the correct diameter.
4. Install clipons
5. Proceed past 100 mph in full race tuck wearing tennis shoes and helmet mohawk. O0
