Been looking everywhere but no luck.
Got my new GS500(Australia) and want to fit adjustable levers I have read the brake is ok with many other suzuki levers fitting ok but no info on clutch(don't want to spend$400 on asv). Any help please.

I'll be the one to say HI before someone gets on your case for not searching. There are a few Ausies here that are a hoot. They'll joke and tease you. They mean no harm. There are a number of ways to do it. There are numerous threads on adjustable levers. I remember being in many of them while I looked for them. You can use the SEARCH to look for "adjustable lever". There was a thread just earlier today so browse down through the recent postings.
There is only one compatible clutch lever: LSL in Germany. About $125 US. Many brake levers are compatible (other threads have a rather full list). Anything else for the clutch requires changing the perch where Honda H4 or SV650 are most popular and then you might need a custom clutch cable with a 90* bend rather than the 45* bend.
So have fun. Do some searching.
G'day springer where you hailing from? With the clutch lever the GS is a unique perch and as Adidas said your only option is an asv. However a sv650 naked version from 99 fits on our bars and they have lotsa options for adjustability. But as I've discovered there is a trade off with your clutch safety switch you have to join your wires or obtain a sv switch and make that work on your GS.

Actually I said LSL was the only direct option without changing the perch.
On the SV perches I have, it uses the same switch as the GS500 -- the newer switch from 1997 to present. Usually you can get a used perch with the switch. The Honda perches I have came with the switch. So the safety switch is not an issue at all.
Remember that a switch is just a switch. Nothing special - it simply connects the two wires when the switch is closed. You could even fabricate a switch with a magnet in the lever and a magnetic reed switch glued to the outside of the perch (it does work because the perch is non-magnetic aluminum! I did it one day just for giggles and grins to show it can be done.)

I just was interested in what others had done with late models.
I'm hunting down a SV perch with mirror mount so i can order a set of levers to suit a SV. it is hard to locate part# and switch types. I'll try to post some pics of the latest lever type for the 2011 GS.

The seller is in Hong Kong so the shipping takes a couple of weeks but he does ship to AU.
As for the clutch perch, I've found that the SV650's are a bit hard to find used. There are many more available from Katanas (same as SV650) but do not have the mirror mount.
