Title: stalling when stopping
Post by: chickenplucker24 on July 13, 2012, 07:16:07 AM
Hi, first of all let me introduce myself to he forums. So far i have found a great wealth of knowledge on this site and thank everyone for sharing it. So my problem is the bike stalling out when i come to a stop sometimes. It has happened to me twice in the month I've owned the bike. I've done some research and am looking into the solutions that have been mentioned. But one thing different i have noticed is the bike will have trouble starting up until i switch to reserve. In fact the bike seems to run better on reserve. I was just wondering where the difference would be in that respect. Anyways i appreciate everyone's help in advance and thanks for having me on the forums

#1: Pinched main fuel line

#2 You're out of gas. Yes - we get lots of "But I still see lots of gas in there". It is deceiving since what you see is the deep, small, bottom of the tank. 1 gallon can look rather deep. 1 gallon is reserve. Fill up to the bottom of the fill ring/tube and see what happens.
You can't stick a gas nozzle in there like a car. You have to hold it out and watch the gas go in. Pull back on those condoms some gas pumps have that require you to press the nozzle in the gas thingy.

PS:

Welcome!

It helps to now what year bike you have.
We LOVE pictures - of just abut everything
Nice to have your location in your profile. There may be other members near you that you can ride and wrench with. That really helps if you are looking for parts.
