Title: Selling Out
Post by: Kijona on July 18, 2012, 08:20:18 PM
Well...as much as I hate to say it, I'm selling my SV650. It's just too frustrating and wearing to have JUST a motorcycle for transportation, and having TWO doesn't really help me when it rains.

So, onto a cage once again I move. Probably going to get something like a little Toyota Camry or Honda Civic, used, 5-spd, i4, etc..

Here's the ad if anybody wants to look: http://atlanta.craigslist.org/eat/mcy/3148640356.html

If anybody here wants to buy it...I'll give a discount for being a GSTWINS member!

That is a very nice looking bike Kijona.
Its about half the price of the ones here. Shame I am on the other side of the planet.

I put them there intentionally to off-set the somewhat serious tone I tend to have when I write things, especially ads. I want them to feel like it's a person typing it and not a salesman.

Thank you for the advice, though. :)

I went a little lower than what most are asking for around here. Most of the ones in that price range around here have some serious flaws like major road rash or needs something more than tires.

I would not consider it selling out.  Most of us have a car for the winter/rainy season.

I, on the other hand, have a car when I have my son.  3 1/2 is a bit young to have on the back of a bike no matter how tight he holds on.  Too many frost heaves send me flying out of the seat.

I get that, i've done similar things as well, i was just thinking as a buyer when i see that i usually assume it's  a teenage selling something (i'm a teenager so i guess it fits) either way, i'm a bit  :cookoo: sometimes  :icon_mrgreen:

I was wondering about that, make sure they know there's nothing wrong with it, i know when i see something like this it makes me a bit suspicious, a suprisingly good way to sell something is to mark it up about $500 over what you want and let them "work you down"" to what you want. plus they won't be so suspicious if they have to work for a good price  ;)

wow i looked at that again and i'm already jealous all over again, i'll let my friend and his family know, not sure if they want a bike or not but i'll give them a heads up that it's a good bike  :thumb:

Damn I wish it was an 03+. I don't care for the curves of that gen.
I'm sort of in the market now that my wife is taking over my GS.

Bike is gone. Deleting the ad tonight.

Sold to "Termlifed" on here. He lives right around the corner from me.
