Title: Mid-Ohio Vintage Days - Updated with Pictures
Post by: jestercinti on July 19, 2012, 04:50:57 PM
Mid-Ohio Vintage days is this weekend for those in OH, PA, MI, KY and IN.  It's in Lexington, OH near Mansfield.  If you have never been there before, it's awesome!  70+ acres of vintage swap-meets, Kawasaki, Can-Am, and KTM demo rides, races, seminars, new vendor pavilions, and lots of interesting characters.

I'll be there with a friend of mine.  Anyone else going?  Would be nice to see and meet other GS'ers.  I'll be out Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.

Feel free to send a text if you'll be there: (three|1|seven) two|7|zero|zero|2|one|eight.

Will post pictures and give updates Sunday night or Monday.

I had a blast.  There were some cool bikes there in the 70+ acre swap meet.

Here's one that Adidas likes.  The sign is wrong.  Frame says 1982:

Lots of Suzuki GT, T-500s, TS, TC, and blue smoke:

Even Go-Peds were there:

Then there were the demo rides.  I rode a Kawasaki Vaquero 1700, ZX6-R, 900 Custom, Kymco Agility 125 (to say that I did), and a Can-Am.  KTM had off-road trail demos.  I learned that offroad takes skill to a whole new level.  Here are some pics of yours truly after the demo rides.

EDIT:  Then there were the deals.  I bought 2 NOS oil filters for $4, some patches...and the best Epic find, a 72 piece shim kit for $20.  Too bad it was 29.0mm.  Already $105.50 on e-bay ... http://www.ebay.com/itm/330768130029?ssPageName=STRK:MESELX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1555.l2649

Overall a blast, but like most things...everything was more expensive that it used to be, and the giveaways were few and far between this year.
