Soooooo when not postwhoring, what do you prefer to watch on tv? (not counting dvd's)
No cable or satellite in our house. Things I like to watch, Person Of Interest, Mentalist, Fringe, NCIS and various stuff on PBS. I'm sure there's things I can't think of at the moment but most of what's on TV is generally crap so it don't matter much.
Cancelled DirecTV last December. I was angry with them. Glad I did because of the Viacom battle.
I now use streaming Netflix and Hulu Plus for $14 a month using a Roku device. Never been happier.
I like The Walking Dead, and classic shows like The Fall Guy and Rockford Files.
I don't watch a lot of live TV, but there are a few shows I like to watch off my DVR.
2 Broke Girls, How I Met Your Mother, Big Bang Theory, Game of Thrones, The Walking Dead, Falling Skies, Sons of Anarchy. Otherwise, I will usually gravitate to History or Discovery.
Alcatraz and Missing were a couple shows that I would still plan on watching if they hadn't gotten canned after the first season.
Shows I avoid at all costs: any show where someone is voted off every week. Basically, every show that either requests viewers to call or isn't "officially" scripted, but is scripted just like WWE wrestling. Those shows can all suck it. They will never earn their advertising money off of my TV. :2guns:
Just got Direct TV last week, after a 2 year hiatus. bought the house and told myself i didn't need it. Finally broke in last week, and Then caught wide of the Viacom BS.. Haha had a good laugh, but mehh got the viacom channels this past friday. All's well, no bill changes as of yet.
Missed cartoon network the most. adult swim clearly, and even some of the kid shows haha
Fuel tv, cause i'm a adrenaline junky
comedy central
been hooked on white collar stoked to have USA back
discovery, history, animal and all those for sure. Missed 'how its made'
this was a perfect thread for me to remember all the good channels
Boomerang(old school cartoons) and Spike TV
ME tv (http://metvnetwork.com/) - its a local channel that came in on the HD bunny ears. Aired nothing but the classics; original hawaii five-o, mash, rockford files, rifleman, gunsmoke, bonanza.. Columbo on sundays.. Watched this channel religiously, still turn off the satellite and go back to it every now and then.
Game of Thrones, Fringe, and almost anything on Velocity (Chasing Classic Cars, Wheeler Dealers), History or Discovery.
Cheers!
Whatever the kids are watching
