Title: Pannier / Touring solutions
Post by: scrichton on July 29, 2012, 03:30:20 PM
I've just invested in a hepco and becker top box and 2 Allit panniers, which give the bike a nice poor man's GS1200 look to it all, I wondering what others have managed to achieve for making their GS's legs lengthen out when it comes to touring..

I'll post pics when I can, so please post yours to let me see how we all stack out stuff up out on a run for a few days.

I use the Cortech Sport tribag setup for when I need a lot of space, sometimes with a Camelback Ruckus daypack. Most of the time though, I just use the daypack or the tailbag.

We need pics of the Hepco and Becker setup! Where are you located? It can be hard to find Hepco and Becker items for the GS in the United States.

Cortech sport panniers here too, though not the tailbag- rockstraps attached to the pillion pegs lock down a dry-bag to carry tent and sleeping bag.  What would go in a tail bag goes in a tank bag instead.

Looks like you may have the same tank bag as me. Motopak, I think.
Best thing I've ever bought for the bike!

I think it's a 'B-Square' or some-such. That one was a loaner while my wife was still collecting her gear.

(my bikes actually the triumph in back. ;)  )
