So I cleaned out my carbs and also fixed the float height and replaced one float valve seat...
Now the carb that I replaced the seat in isn't getting any fuel when I got to drain the carb bowl. Thoughts?? I have no idea what it is, when I replaced the seat all I did was take out the old and put in the new and with the other one I took it out and put it back in.
Check the float, make sure it isn't stuck in the closed position.
I rocked the bike and hit the carbs a couple times to jar em loose and then tried. I opened up the carb drains and left the gas on prime and it barely drips out of the left carb and nothing out of the right. When I rock the bike pretty good it will come out of the left somewhat faster for several seconds but still nothing in the left.
Still thinking floats? The fuel lines are somewhat clogged on the left side of the bike, but I think its getting there fine.
If the fuel lines are somewhat clogged, you should somewhat clean them out.
errr yeah what ross said!! +1000!
:cookoo: ... its a bit like thinking a flat tire should be ok cos its only flat on the bottom!! :cookoo:
I actually just replaced all of the fuel lines today, I meant "clogged" as in they are all bunched together on the left hand side. My bad!
ahhh!.. that'd be bunched ... or routed .. whatever :dunno_black:
did the replaced fuel lines solve it?... or are there still issues?

Though it'd be much more interesting if it was only flat on the top.
I'd say take the bowl off and make for damn sure the float isn't stuck. Visual and tangible confirmation is really the only way to know. Also, if you're as lazy as me, you can use a 1/4 wrench and JIS bit to remove the bowl from the carb with the bike fully assembled. Thats how I adjust my float heights. No carb removal required! :thumb:
Cool I'll check the floats in a couple hours. The floats are "closed" when they are upside down and falling downward or when they are sitting up? Haha I actually replaced those screws with Hex heads so I should have no problem taking the underside off while its on the bike!
The floats cut off fuel in the up position.
Ok, I'm checking it tonight or early tomorrow so I'll post findings!
Good to go now, thanks for all of the help guys! Working on a starting issue now then I'm all good.
Good to hear, man! Keep us posted.
