Title: Threaded spark plug tip
Post by: quaid79 on August 03, 2012, 10:06:51 AM
Hey guys and gals, I apologize if this is a silly/weird question.. topic...
So I ordered some new iridium plugs for my bike. I pulled the old plugs out and they have a threaded tip whereas my new set do not. Did I buy incompatible plugs? Does this threaded bit come off?
Thanks for the help...
(yes I am a noob lol)

The pic in this link may show the answer to your question?
The end that the cap and wire connects to has a little connector piece that can unscrew, leaving a bare thread like shown.

We do not use the little cap.

You take them off your spark plugs and use them as mousie butt plugs.

Its a good thing I inspector clouseu'ed the plugs or I WOULD have the ends stuck in my caps instead of my mouses butts  :thumb: :thumb:
