So just a update. went to huntsville alabama sat and bought used gs500f motor with only 590 miles on spent all of sunday replacing the old motor with the new one and got it running but does sound like it may need to be syncd.
running rough? or not responding to throttle input too well? depending on how long the engine has been sitting, carbs may need cleaning
Welcome to the site. I recently bought an 07 also with a bad engine and even more recently swapped it out for an 05 engine with 2800 on the ODO. Mine didnt run first either but after cleaning the carbs, drilling out the brass caps and adjusting the mixture, it runs A LOT better
