Title: GO Cruise..Amazing !!.
Post by: NortwestRider on August 17, 2012, 11:51:59 AM
Bought one of these a while back and finally tried it today on my way to Canada for a 10 day trip. All I can say is it's the best $19.99 I have ever spent. It's one of those things thats soooo simple I can't believe I didn't think of it !!!.It go's over your grip and you push it down with your finger against the brake lever and it holds your throttle. It's just tight enough to hold it but you can turn the throttle forward with almost no resistance.

weed: you guys are talking about 2 different things.
nortwest is a throttle locking device. The thing you show is a lever to add to the throttle for resting your palm - you still need your hand on the throttle. Nortwest does have one of those - you can see it on the end of the throttle in this picture:

a simple O ring gasket works perfectly .40-.60 cents roll the o ring into the gap between the housing ,and the throttle ....works like a charm. Does not hang.
I been using 1 for about 125,000 miles.

Both tools are cheap and cool- At laconia bike week- a lady was selling a throttle lock for 139$ It was a lock that you pushed your thumb onto and then you would use your wrist to keep it in place.

I saw a few threads on throttlelock mods as stated above. does that mod work with the 04+

you can make out of a small bungee ,and zip tie. You pull one side to lock it ,and the other side to let it go SIMPLE and cheap!

After 1,400 miles with the GoCruise I can still say it's a GREAT way to spend $19.99 !!!.
