So I had septoplasty, bilateral ethmoidectomy, and endscopic sinus preocedure done last week.. What the hell does that mean in english, well it means they fixed my deviated septum and snipped some enlarged bones out fo the inside of my nose and then shoved about 2 feet of gauzed up there. Had it done on wednesday and it still feels like i have a really bad cold and if i don't take the pain meds I get a wicked bad headache. Plus my 2 year old doesn't understand that he can't jump all over my whenever he wants. :(
Oh well, this has nothing to do with the GS or bikes, but I felt the need to rant. I'm cooped up and going crazy.
btw saw a speed triple on ebay for less than 3 grand the other day.

jeeze, Jake. That sounds tough. Hang in there and be glad that at least its winter, so you won't be tempted to ride before you're recovered 8)
Get better soon!
:o Ouch! Get well soon, Jake!
I haven't had it done to myself, but my sister is recovering from her's. She cries all the time from the pain. You should really see her jump when she sneezes. :o
honestly the worst part was when they took out the packing. My eyes immediatley began tearing up and i couldnj't quit coughing like crazy.
it honestly felt like he was tugging on my eyeballs.
generally i have a pretty good tolerance for pain, plus the vicodans haelp alot
Nose Surgery Sucks???????
I always thought it Blows.
Anyway, next time leave the Coke alone. :bs:
I had a septoplasty & tubinectomy in '95. Sucks, Blows, whatever - lemme tell you one thing for sure - you wanna avoid experiencing whatever they call it if at all possible. I do have to admit though, I can breath better now than before, but it took about 6 months before I felt like I was fully recovered. I've also had cauterizations done twice since '95 & gonna have another done on 2 January. I guess the bottom line is, when they start coming after your nose with the heavy artillery, you can be pretty sure it ain't gonna be the most fun you've ever had.
Oh, yeah - & the thing about the 2 feet of gauze? It's no exaggeration. The doc just kept pulling it out & pulling it out - I started to wonder when it was gonna end.
Well, get well soon. The worst is over. & you'll eventually be glad you went through it.
Can you drink beer yet???
 :thumb:

yeeeeeupppp, affect spelling ability though  :dunno:
Hmm, i have a deviated septum too, rolling out from under my truck, caught it on the rocker panel, the whole world jumped and heard a loud crack reverb through my skull, but no blood, no bruise so i kept going. knew something was up when it still hurt 2 weeks later. i can breath through it ok, so im not gonna inflict that kind of pain and time out of work for that. Heal fast jake, but dont rush it
in keeping with my recent trend of off topic posts....
Well now in additon to recovering from my sinus surgery extravaganza I now have to have a root canal done tomorrow. This sucks serious ass.!
ON a up note, I got a huge rolling toolbox and a mighty socket set from my inlaws for xmas... At least I can tinker on the GS while I"m all doped up on the pain meds.
:dunno:
jake
Just keep in mind while high on Vicidan ES's, bloody stumps are gods way of telling you to wait till tomorrow.
