Title: Setting up a GS500 for a BIG GUY ??.
Post by: NortwestRider on September 01, 2012, 07:01:06 PM
As some of you know I bought Trey from adidasguy for my wife ( she loves it ).I have been riding it around some and REALLY enjoy riding it.I'm THINKING about selling my 07 DL1000 and buying a 500 for me.I ride everyday rain or shine and my commute is 40 miles. We are planning a 6,000 mile trip up to Prudue Bay Alaska next June and I would be riding it.I was wondering if anybody has setup one for a big guy,I'm 6'1" and about 275#.I've heard that a SV650 shock will fit and is longer, and I could lower the pegs a inch or so and get a taller wider seat built.Any ideas ??.
