Title: Carbs spitting?
Post by: dransy on September 04, 2012, 10:11:22 AM
Hi guys , after my last post of getting loads of fuel in my oil i replaced the float needles/valves gaskets and O rings and that problem has gone :)

Now though one of my plugs is fine and the other one is really black and sutted .

Also at low revs , i can hear the carbs spit , mainly when doing a U turn , ive read up abit what i can and it says this happens when the mixture is lean. I set both mixture screws to 2.5 turns out and also checked the float heights.

The next thing i was going to do is balance the carbs , could this solve my problem ? the carbs are old but over the past few months ive had them apart and cleaned them loads of times because of my previous problem with fuel in the oil.

Cheers
Marco

Can't hurt to sync the carbs.....Mine does that spitting sound when she is warming up.....only does it a few times, but no problems from it.. :dunno_black:
