Title: FS: 1995 GS500 Part Out (some aftermarket)
Post by: stafebak on September 12, 2012, 02:43:58 PM
Well, I broke a valve it turns out.  Miraculously, the cylinder walls survived, it just took a chunk out of the piston.  So pretty much everything is available, except one valve, and one piston.  I wouldn't recommend buying the valves though, just because if one broke, I would imagine the others are nearing that as well.

Here is the album, if you want specific pictures of other things, let me know, I'll get them within a day.  Emailing me at sbakken87@msn.com would be the fastest way to get a hold of me, just because my phone syncs with that email.

List of aftermarket stuff I can remember:

V&H Full Exhaust - 185 Shipped
K&N Lunchbox
Katana Shock - 30 Shipped
Racetech .85kg springs (I would *greatly* prefer to sell these with the forks...as I don't want to disassemble) so...with forks - 140 shipped, springs have a little less than 500 miles on them
Reloaded's thicker fork brace - 20 shipped
Brake and Clutch levers with perches. They're off a Katana, and they work totally fine.  It's kind of hard to see but they're a graphite color, and adjustable. - 50 shipped
Gas Tank, coated with POR15 on the inside, coating still holding over a year, outside paint is ugly!

The only other thing I want to note is the paint on the gas tank is garbage, as I was planning on repainting it (person before me did that striping, ew).  However, I did POR-15 the inside last year, and it is still holding up, so I can assume I did a good job, I was very thorough in the process.

I think that's everything, if you have any questions, let me know...thanks!

Nothing is sold yet.  Did you want the lunchbox with the carbs? By the way, I replaced the bowl gasket, float needle, and all the o-rings on the carbs recently. They we're also cleaned recently (though I would still recommend cleaning before install, just because I'm obsessive like that). 125 shipped for carbs without LB, 140 with.

Gas tank, I'll include the key (obviously) and if you want I'll try to snap a picture of the inside for you, so you know it's actually coated.  125 shipped for that?

The shock I would do for 50 shipped, forks, I'll have to check in to that...not sure how much shipping would be, I'll let you know tomorrow via PM.  Also, this ENTIRELY slipped my mind. One of the inner fork tubes on my forks is minorly tweaked...However, I do have another fork that isn't, that I would send with it, and you could transplant the spring over if you would like.  Otherwise I'm not recommending it, but I rode on the minor tweaked fork for 500 miles (Yes, I can be an idiot sometimes when I'm in a bind) and it didn't leak, or cause me to crash.  I did also re-do the dust and fork seals on both.  PM me if you're still interested.

How much for the exhaust? It looks pretty rough but could be a good project. If for a good price.
