I know you guys have talked about Corbin seat tons of times...
I simply wanna know you like it or not... :)
No, do not like Corbin.
Like Suzuki gel seat much better.
I love my Corbin! I hated the gel seat. I felt that the Corbin held you in place alot better.
Corbin seats: Pretty, costs you your first born child
Suzuki gel seat: It works great, reasonable cost
That's about right, right? :)
I have tried the Corbin, the Gel seat and the stocker. The corbins firm ride was OK, but the shape was uncomfortable.
The difference between numbutt on the gel seat and numbutt on the stocker for me is about 5 miles.
I'm cool with the stock plank.
i hated the stock seat, so i got the corbin and i like it a lot better, it also looks better then the bulky gel seat, and i havent got the numb butt ever sense i got my corbin :thumb:
Does anyone know where to find the Suzuki gel seat by chance... the main suzuki site doesn't seem to list it and several google searches haven't revealed much...
Thanks,
Jeff
order them thru a dealer
or wait for one to pop up on ebay, ive seen them go for about $70 on ebay if i remember correctly
Corbin is the only way to go, and worth every penny. I will buy a Corbin seat for every bike I own in the future. :thumb:

If you have a 2001 or newer GS500, the gel seat will not fit. It's made to mate up to the older gas tank & plastic.

I don't recall getting "numb butt". Usually my legs feel cramped up & knees get soer before my butt has issues on longer rides now.

I like the Corbin on the GS. They also make the best seats for SOME other bikes. They also make the WORST seat for some other bikes. Try one before you buy one. It could be an expensive mistake.
Forget about buying a Corbin seat if you have a GS500 newer than 2000. They only make them for the old style seat.

The price of the Corbin is outlandish AND I find it way too hard but chaped nice.
The Suz gel seat is a dream IMHO.
The corbin is a bit hard, but it lets you shift around, lets air in and around where you need it, and overall great. That fiber weave top cover is a bit stoopid though.... I'd take good grade vinyl over that anyday.
The Gel seat, available at Parts depot 800 245 3101 - My friend Robert used to work there but he has since quit... so call and ask for someone other than Robert... and cost me $115... It was soft and like dropping into a water bed... It doesn't let air flow around them un mentionables much, but is quite comfy, It does look ugly from the back though. Its top is made of some cheap ass pleather type crap which is just plain awful, and lets in water making for the extra water bed feeling. Its quite comfy though. It fit up to the tank tighter than the corbin or stocker. BTW corbin had droped their price on the seal to ~149 I thought.
Cool.
Srinath.
Thank you guys!
I will take all your opinions for what kind of seat I should get...
