Title: so how do you "reroute choke cable" to accommodate risers?
Post by: jfm5440 on September 14, 2012, 11:31:02 AM
I've read dozens of times how after installing risers they "just had to reroute the choke cable." Fine and dandy now could someone describe the best way to do this? Lets start with the premise that I have a 500F and am lazy (both true incidentally). Can the choke cable be rerouted by unhooking at the handlebar end?

Thx. Love this site BTW.

I have these risers:

And never had to re-route anything.

I have 30mm risers as well as Renthal MX CR high bars......I just routed the choke cable behind the bars instead of in front of them.....

I unhoked my rerouted cables from the handlebar end to accomodate my risers. Little lead barrels and a couple small screws was all. Used slit-open lemgths of fuel line around cables once rerouted to prevent rubbing on the frame.
