Some jackass kicked over my bike last night, cracked the windscreen and right mirror, and scraped the right fairing. I'm thinking it was just random idiocy, but if it happens again I'm going hunting.
Now, let's not get hasty. Are you sure it was intentional? Any way it was an accident?
I was not there, but just trying to understand.

If they didn't pick it up..does it matter.
Do we know it was somebody? I mean down here in Fl we can get some nasty down burst! Also, may not be on flat surface. I've had my bike knocked over twice but once I found the car with Flick's paint on it!

Did you scrape Flicks paint off the car with your keys?

That's what carbide tipped scribing tools are for.
It happened again last night. No wind, flat surface, backed to the curb. I'm waiting for the police to show up so I can give a statement.
I would flip my shaZam!, were i you. I'd stake out so hard, and run that mother fuker down. He would have to pray that i kept it together while i waited for the cops.
Yup, that's the plan for tonight.
Good luck sir, report back!
Also it may be a weekend thing. If it doesnt happen tonight, be sure to get out there friday night
ive had to do "stake outs" before. make yourself appear to be some random passer by :thumb:
Damn man that's sad.
See if someone will let you hide out in a car that's normally there.
mmm not good situ ... direct confrontation could get ugly too i'm guessing.. maybe .. if finances permit ... one or two 'stealthily located' micro cams could be placed to get the fools on video .. then take the footage to the cops..
the laws here in Aussie and over there are gonna differ somewhat .. but here with 'caught in the act' video the cops are much happier to sort things out... if we went up and started whalin' on the perp .. while satisfying .. may result in a assault charge back at ya!
hope it stops happening for you soon :thumb:
a cheap wildlife observation camera. once "evidence" is obtained, can sell camera to a random hunter easily.
While frontier justice might be more satisfying, get the micro-camera and book'em Danno
A friend and I were out there last night in my car, which is always parked in the same spot. Nothing happened, I may try again next Friday in case it was a weekend visitor or something.

Damn.
But I watched that whole thing thinking he was gonna drive off.
Actually, the guy who hit it is a friend and coworker. You can see him reach for his phone to call me at the end. He asks, "Hey is that your bike in the parking lot?" My first thought was that he saw somebody riding away with it. So after I said yes, he says, "Well I hit it with the company truck." I was actually relieved.
Now, I park on the right side next to the cars, unless there are other bikes already in line on the left.
Why don't you park in the front row like he did?
No, but what I did do is go to several neighbors and talked with everyone including that one (so they didn't think I was harassing specifically them) with a baseball bat and told them if Flick ever met the pavement again and I found the paint on the car I would do just as much damage to that car with my bat as they did to Flick and I didn't care about the cops that I would pay the damage because it would be worth it. For a month no one would even park next to him :D I also had that look in my eye.

Other than the spot where he was parked (company truck) they are all handicapped spots.
When the plant opened 14 years ago, the fresh asphalt wouldn't support kickstands in the summer. So a couple guys parked on the side walk. That pissed off the facility manager. He was told to provide a concrete kickstand pad for bikes. So he put it waaayyy down at the end of the parking lot. That worked until the asphalt hardened up, then bikes parked wherever among the cars until someone bumped over a big cruiser. So then the facility manager softened up a bit and gave us 4 car-spots for motorcycles. Silly me was the only one who rode when it's freakin' cold and put his bike in a vulnerable place.

been there with both my gs and my hd. i carried a bigfoot. a hard plastic pad in the shape of a foot. if i forgot that, a crushed cola can works too
Migh I suggest a rifle as "stalking" requires some distance and with standerd pellet spread we can not be assured each pellet will hit at a distance.
just dont become a headline in tomorrows paper. in most places defending ones family is allowed. defending ones vehicle however in many places can be questonable
It's ok, I'll just yell "he's coming right at us!" first.
Note: I am not going to shoot anyone over my bike.
No more issues I assume?
That's good.
Nope, not in a while. I also started parking next to a very nice GSXR, so hopefully that'll get kicked over by idiot kids instead of my bike. Cheap theft insurance too :D
Maybe they just push yours into GSXR or vice versa

I would, maybe not with a bullet but my friends have some seriously high powered paintball guns
