Title: Cheap options for sportier rearsets?
Post by: Watevaman on October 02, 2012, 05:15:06 AM
Doing all these handling mods (shock, springs, clubman bars), I've also looked into getting a set of rearsets that resembles more of a sport bike stance. However, Gimbel's rearset costs $400 and Raask ~$320 which is not something I want to pay for something seemingly so simple.

What are the best options with minimum modification (definitely not a metal worker) for possibly sub-$150?

Depending on your own skills, you could buy some aluminum plate, figure out your whole spacing and just cut a new rear set, then position your peg where you want it.  You can put knurled pegs from woodcraft.  Cost you less then 100 bucks.

With little modification. Do a search for F3 rearsets. Less tnen $50.
