I need a gubbamint job, bad.
I am perfect for a job @ FDIC, SEC, the Fed reserve, Comptroller of the currency, IRS or any of those other bureaucrats that are bean counters on steroids combing through terabytes of data looking for which little old guy father of 7 that worked all his life paying bills and putting kids through school ... yea we need to find that he instead of writing out a check for $121 back in 1991 wrote it for $112 and we nail his arrrr$$$3333.
Yes I want to be that creep. So please lay it on me, how do I go get me a gubbamint job. Yea need to be federal gubbamint, state ... unless it is NC or SC I am out.
Cool.

Sure, because you're guaranteed to make double your current salary & benefits while doing 1/3 the work because there are three other people who also do your same job functions. One for me, too, please.

Not quite more $, However considering that I have been unemployed a few months every year maybe it is more $ ...
1/3rd the work ... I'd almost bet its nearly 100 times the work, cos as soon as I leave one of my previous jobs, the work I did there almost immediately gets deleted. I will bet the job I left last week, they have deleted everything I did and most of the junk that was failing before I got there has started failing again.
Cool.

im the guy with the black pen and small little book where your information goes...sometimes i leave you a present

thats your federal system for jobs.. regardless of what system (federal/state/local), it takes weeks / months to get a job, so place high on the reserve list and hope for the best... and for the feds, be ready to accept a position anywhere, even alaska.... ;)
M
What the good guy said. USAJobs is your best bet. And you can choose the location that you would prefer.
I contract with DoD, I no joke got paid (well) to sit and do absolutely nothing other than fix the occasional stripped screw, for five months straight. There is definitely a problem but I got to pay my bills

All the jobs i have seen and people that have gotten hired (Federal/DoD) it was a 6-8 month process. Be prepared to wait and wait and oh yeah...did i say wait. Im sure there are some that take less, but this seems to be the norm. It just takes time to route and process all that paperwork!
I seem to have got the rejects rather quickly.
Cool.

its not like a house forclosure THAT id be paranoid about. theyve got ways to find you. had they wanted to they'd have done so already
Yes Yama they do. True story:
12 years ago the wife broke a contract with a gym. We kept the paperwork for 10 years then tossed.
2 years later get sued by said gym due to breach of contract. Said this is bogus...drive 2 hours to court (moved since then) only to find out that they tried to sue her before, but the address was bad.
That was enough to null and void any statute of limitations. It was her word against said gym. This was 12 years ago, and been drunk since then.
Lost and settled for $700. They finally found her using the work number.
Wild, but sometimes shaZam! never goes away.
