Title: Downshifting SQUEEL
Post by: BassWoW on October 06, 2012, 09:04:31 AM
:o I am going crazy now.

It seems like either my bike has died out while the clutch was in and its starting itself when I downshift.

It feels like there is pressure on the engine when I downshift and my Revs are in equilibrium. I sorta hear a squeel not loud but there as it goes into gear.

Should I be worried?

Maybe its time to readjust the idle screw now that weather averages in the 40s and 50s

The only squealing I've ever heard from my bike while downshifting came from the rear tire because I failed to match revs and ended up locking the wheel.

It sounds like a pressure squeel... like if you push started your bike in gear...

Sounds like your clutch needs to be adjusted.
