Do not turn your engine on when your tachometer drive gear is out. It will splooge oil out of its face. :icon_eek:

Don't start the engine with the dipstick removed either...ask me how I know  :dunno_black:

it seems the oil circulation is greater than anticipated in a running engine

And if you decide to check the oil level after you've started the engine ... don't ... unless you have a steadier hand than I do.  There seem to be some moving parts in there near where the dipstick goes.  No personal experience with this, of course.  :icon_rolleyes:

Glad mines electric.

But don't ride to work with your dip stick not screwed on..
Takes a minute to figure out where that oil on your right boot came from.

How about riding about a mile up the highway at night after checking it and after you get off on your exit; you're wondering why you're smoking like Ghost Rider....but this has never happened to me  :technical:
