Hopefully you'll post it in the for sale section here before going to Ebay...;)
Your best bet is to list it on forums such as this, to try to avoid the BS that you have to go through to sell something on Ebay. Also try your local bike trader mag if you have one.
I'd only use Ebay as a last resort, personally.
I'd like to see some pics. :)
the BEST way to sell a bike is to ME for ZERO dollars 8)
the SECOND BEST way to sell a bike is to take JenRZ350's advice and post a thread in the for sale/trade/wanted section of the board. :thumb:
If you want to get the exposure of ebay without the auction hassles, I would go with cycletrader.com. Its not a bidding system. It runs more like any other add magazine would, but it gets national exposure for a reasonable price. I used autotrader.com, a similar service for autos, and sold my truck in 3 weeks with a 45 dollar run-till-it-sells add. The cycletrader database is searchable by location, so you are likely to get contacted by folks close by which would make delivery much easier).
There are also free classified areas on many other motorcycle forums. You will generally need to register before posting on these sites. Some sites are: www.wera.com, www.racemotorcycles.com, www.localriders.com, www.amasuperbike.com, www.sportbikes.net
There are more but I don't recall the website names because I don't visit those other sites.
You can perhaps find some other links at www.usedmotorcycles.com.
I think there is also a Yahoo Classifieds too that may still be free.
I put mine in cycletrader.com. The day the ad came out I had 20 calls, and it was sold within 3 days.
Good luck! :thumb:
I put a bike on ebay last august and it was great other than the high fees.
The buyer picked up quick and there were no hassles.
Lets hear the price of this bike, who knows, it may continue life within the family here, or there, or in multiple places at once (hides wrenchs behind back)
