look up some of the pictures of what chuck81 has done, you can also see some pictures in my build thread (in my signature). he does some nicer ones than that as well with fancy suzuki logos on them but i liked the plain look better personally

I'm looking to do something similar for my winter project. I want to repaint both left and right side covers to red (caps and all). Kind of like this:

Or maybe even paint the entire engine though that seems like A LOT of work. I've been looking around but I can't seem to find good info on the subject.

@iclrag - could you point us to specific pics. I checked out both your thread and stuff posted by chuck81. Couldn't find anything about engine covers.

I think the link below is probably the most recent sale thread of chuck's covers... also note the one he has in the photo of his bike for the member profile pic.  I'd imagine there are quite a few things he can do with these.

Painting the engine, IMO, should be done with the engine out of the frame and disassembled. It is certainly going to have to be degreased and washed down were well anyway

Wont the paint just burn off? No point in painting mine as I have the fairing lol

That's what high temp paint or ceramic paint is for and how the original paint is
