Title: Gasket remover on crankcase cover = ugly
Post by: llaen on November 24, 2012, 11:30:51 AM
I accidentally sprayed some gasket remover on my crankcase cover (:dunno_white:) and here's the result:

Do not like!

Anyone have any ideas on any good (and hopefully easy) ways to fix/paint this?

Thank you kindly!

Gasket remover is basically paint stripper in a different can. Probably easier to find and fit a used cover

Yeah. It's nasty stuff. I use a lot of Loc-tite paint stripper I got from work and it is in your best interest to know which direction any wind is blowing and wear all your PPE.

strip the rest and paint them black!
