Just cause you've got the power, doesn't mean you have to use it like a wanker like this guy. Ride to the conditions, I reckon anyone with a basic set of riding skills could work a GS500 up to the same speeds through the same roads and come a cropper the same way.
Non-riding idiot.
What a cokk :cookoo:
All comes down to how stupid you are with that right wrist. Or how the timing is with the right wrist, or when you serviced your bike was it done by an untrained howler monkey
Read the description. Says "This is how I ride. Fast."
Good job you f%$king moron. And I'll say "This is how you crash. Like the imbecile you are."
Respect the road and it will respect you. This guy didn't respect the road or his fellow bikers.
He lived to tell the tale. He's lucky.
Here is his 'after-story': https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QKPJ43zw7yE&feature=plcp
At least the moron was wearing some gear.
i didn't notice him mention boots..of course I just skimmed through the video.
Had he been wearing proper boots he may not have even sprained his ankle.

This. According to the "afterstory" he says he binned it @ 85 mph. Unless it was uphill, the 500 would be in the same situation.
Wow. It's as if he didn't even try to lean for the corner.
The last guy he passes is actually motioning for him to slow down.
Either something is wrong or I missed out on the video because now it says it is private
well he is an idiot, does he think that insurance companies sit in the dark? anyone stupid enough to boast about going fast, then post a video of their incident on which they are probably hoping to make an insurance claim is just plain stupid.
class A moron for sure.

The guy who crashed posted his helmet cam video of the crash, he probably pulled it down because of all the negative feedback he was receiving on youtube and reddit for riding like an idiot.
The video is still there and still working fine :thumb:

Corner you say? That's just a very gentle curve compared to what I've seen here in southeast Ohio. And I'll add that I've leaned my GS enough to scare myself and judging by the wear on the tires it'll still lean farther :icon_eek:
