Title: Weedaho, your sir win the internets!
Post by: crzydood17 on December 05, 2012, 09:48:26 PM
So I ordered Weeds LED kit and I have to say it came in, in the most awesome way possible.

So I did a bit of recycling on my GSXR torque arm.

Awesome! Yeah, I have a bunch of left over pieces of material and since that was a Flat Rate box it was in and would cost less than the $5 they wanted, I covered the box. If you want the seam on the brake arm to stick, use some 3M 94 adhesion promoter and 3M Edge Sealer. It will never come off one its own

If you need some of that material though just let me know.

Ehh, its just applied over plasti dip, not to big of an issue if it decides it doesn't want to hang around. I just thought it would be a waste to let such beautiful di-noc go to waste. Hell there was almost enough there to do my front fender but it pulled up a lot of the box so I only got a few pieces off clean lol!

On a side note the LED headlight is weird and awesome all at the same time, not nearly as bright in 1 spot but seems to have a much better pattern.

What kind do you use Weedahoe? I bought some of that from PepBoys did my guage bezel in it and it was peeling in a matter of weeks.

If you are going to use it on something exterior you need to use adhesive promoter and an edge sealer. I use 3M DiNoc carbon fiber,  3M 94 adhesion promoter and 3M Edge Sealer

Might have to give that a try because it looked sexy when I had done the guage cluster, gas lid, and heel guards.

Yeah, you know I did my main side fairings all in black carbon fiber right? Looked killer but I decided to paint them and do hydro graphics for a long term finish

What's this LED kit?

It wasn't really a "kit" but it was a LED headlight bulb, parking bulb, MPH and Tach bulbs and the indicator bulbs that were left over from when I did my full conversion. I didn't need all those extras so I shared the parts with other members.
