Title: 04+ gauges with 9722 miles
Post by: weedahoe on December 10, 2012, 09:03:48 PM
I was saving these to go on my bike later since they are in good shape but will be ordering a digital setup here soon so no sense in holding on to these.

There is a small ding in the trim ring on the MPG gauge. I took it apart and did tap most of it out. The rest could be done but I lost interest. There is a bit of rash on the back of the black cup housing. All the indicator lens are there as you can see as well as the mounting hardware.

I did clean the back side of the MPH glass while i had it apart. The ROM side could have same done to it. For some reason all my glass on all my sets all seem to look like they were wiped with a dirty rag during assembly :(

$110 shipped

Does that speedometer take a speedo cable, or is it electric?

All speedos are cable driven. The newer style tachs (like this one) are electric.

You can easily add these to an older bike though by means of connecting the electric tach to the coils for a signal

It has the blue cap - that alone is worth $25.
Replacement bracket alone is $110 (I know - I bought Junior a new one before he went on display at the motorcycle show.)

OK. I'll take them. I have gauges to put on Quin and the buyer for Quin will pay for new gauges as I gave away Quin's which had road rash. Sort of swapping parts around. Anything I build or rebuild will always get 2006+ wiring.
PM me details.

Sending PM now.

I always though it was a good deal for low mileage clocks

Yep. We're fixing up Quin with newer (older) gauges, new rear brakes (it doesn't seem to have any that work), chain and sprockets. Then he will be road worthy for the winter. Using older gauges on him from my pile and the buyer will be paying me for the newer gauges for upcoming projects.

I love how we're always swapping parts around. Seems very little gets tossed unless it is junk or I can't give it away for cost of postage.
