so iwas looking at the manual it says to pool the whole motor to change the oil pan. But it looks like i could pull off the exhaust and do it any suggestions
is the bike naked or faired?
my manual says it CAN be removed without pulling the engine.
naked .Maybe i was looking in the wrong section.
no the motor does NOT need to be removed.
If the exhaust is in the way, only have to remove that.
I dont recall if it is as mine was already off when I removed my oil pan.
bear in mind tho, if you remove the pan... you WILL need a new gasket.

Yep just drop the exhaust.
I use Permatex "Right Stuff" gasket maker instead of buying a new gasket.
