Title: oil pan

so iwas looking at the manual it says to pool the whole motor to change the oil pan. But it looks like i could pull off the exhaust and do it any suggestions

is the bike naked or faired?

my manual says it CAN be removed without pulling the engine.

no the motor does NOT need to be removed.

If the exhaust is in the way, only have to remove that.
I dont recall if it is as mine was already off when I removed my oil pan.

bear in mind tho, if you remove the pan... you WILL need a new gasket.

gave him a heads up that u Might need the oil pan gasket in the photo if its still for sale and if you havnt already purchased one.

Yep just drop the exhaust.
I use Permatex "Right Stuff" gasket maker instead of buying a new gasket.

ordered the pan off ebay for 20 and got the pan gasket drain plug and gasket  for 14. Should have everythin sometime next week thanks for all the help guys :thumb:
