Title: Installing my headlight
Post by: paradoqs on December 30, 2012, 09:01:54 PM
So, I have an H4 bulb and I have two black, two yellow, and one white wire (I think). What goes where?

Its a universal one with an H4 bulb. Round, 7 inch. Says "Xanadu" on it.

Maybe a picture or link to what you have. Since it is universal, it won't wire up like normal color coded wires. Maybe take a battery and test each combination of wires to find which is (+) and which is ground

The wires are what is coming from the bike. I assumed it would be universal for the bike wires. Is black white and yellow not universal for the GS? The light just has the three H4 prongs.

All GS500's have a universal 3 prong plug 1989 to present. If the bike doesn't have that, then it has been modified and we need pictures.
