Looks good. :thumb:   Which make of  damper is that, or is it an OEM GSXR one?

I like to put my dampers there too, except I put the fork clamp to the out side so that the end of the damper rod tucks into the frame for protection.

I think what James is refering to is the clamp on the forks should be pointing out (where yours points in) so the damper parallels the frame and the adjuster end of the damper is not sticking out. Looks like all you have to do is rotate the clamp 90 degrees clockwise.
Awesome work on the clamp! :thumb:

Hey RoundBall...post up a pics of your bike. I want to see what it looks like with a black frame. Need to repaint my frame and was going with silver but thinking about black.

Does the GS even need a steering dampener?  I applaud your skill and work but I've never had a problem with instability on the GS.

Cool.

I am going with a black frame on my current GS project. But probably a hard gloss black (easier to clean).

Title: top mount
Post by: pattonme on January 03, 2004, 11:05:45 PM
I am making a top mount myself. 2" wide aluminum flat stock that bolts to the little holes under the tank right up by the headstock.
