Title: Newbie from the Sutherland Shire - Sydney
Post by: Jalalski on January 07, 2013, 03:39:45 AM
Hi Guys,

My name is Jalal from Sutherland in Sydney and I got my Ls about a month ago and bought a 2010 model Suzuki GS500F on the same day of getting my Ls from the RTA

Here are a couple of pics of my bike:

Enjoying the local rides to the National Park and Kurnell very much and very happy with the bike so far.

Glad I found this forum where I could get tips and learn a bit more from the experfienced riders, as this is the very first time I ride a bike after pausing my dream of getting one for almost 25 years!....blame the wife LOL

Anyway, I look forward to catching up with some of you soon.

Thanks for having me.

Welcome Jalal. Even though I'm from the other side of Sydney I'm sure I'll see you in the Nasho sometime.

Make sure you ride around Kurnell at night - to chase the rabbits  :thumb:

Thanks Guys :)

Michael, I have been to Kurnell but during the day though, went all the way to Cape Solander.

Haven't tried night riding yet and feel lazy to swap the helmet visor to the clear one :)

Yea...I ended up getting a second helmet.

One for the day, one for the night

Chasing rabbits around the tank farm at Banksmeadow too. Picture, grown men, in motorcycle gear, helmets still on, chasing rabbits on foot along fence lines at 1am. Just don't go up Henry Head Ln to the NSW Golf Club up from La Perouse at night. Otherwise you won't make it unaccosted.

I assume you mean the turns?

I have been there 3 times already and am taking it easy and other cars seem to also cooperate when they see the Ls.

Already been stopped for a breath-test and it was interesting to be breath tested on a bike for the first time, as both the cop and I were trying to work out if I should take the helmet off or not LOL :)

Am not into speeding anyway, so that is not a concern for me....not on the GS500F anyway ;)
