I was trying to change out my clutch plates when I ran into a problem. I got the whole thing apart took off the old plates put on new ones. Then i slid the outer metal part of the clutch plate (part nine on the bike bandit schematic I couldn't find the real name for it name for it) housing on put in the springs and started to tighten down the bolts that hold the springs on. I got the bolts tightened down to hand tight and then tried to tighten them with a tourque wrench but the housing just slid around and around. Not the whole clutch body just the final plate that hold the springs. I could not find a way to get it to stop I checked the manual and it seems like I am not missing any peices. I also noticed that on my old springs (factory I think) one is longer than all the others is this for a reason does the long one go a special place? or am I losin my mind
:dunno: :dunno: :dunno: :dunno:
all the springs should be the same length.
I bet you got the "push piece" (the part in the center that the clutch rod pushes on to release the clutch) in wrong somehow.
Take it apart and try again...
thanks i'll try it
